Прибыль (или убыток), образовавшаяся в результате совершенной операции (как правило, реализации товаров, услуг или других активов). В бухгалтерском учете прибыль обычно учитывается как реализованная в тот момент, когда актив был законным образом реализован, а не тогда, когда поступили деньги за него, так как при продаже актива в кредит он отчуждается в обмен на другой актив, представляющий собой дебеторскую задолженность. Такая задолженность может в итоге оказаться погашенной или непогашенной, однако это уже рассматривается как самостоятельная операция.
